3. Evaluation
The evaluation of the training is as important as the training itself. Especially if you want to repeat the admin training in the future. You can draw a conclusion, if the training met all expectations and your goals. You get feedback from the outside. Plus, it helps to close gaps in future training. Here are some suggestions how a useful evaluation might look like.
What should I note for the evaluation phase?
- Plan an evaluation phase after your training
- Invite everyone from organisational team to evaluate the training
- Ask the external expert for his/her point of view
- Aks participants for feedback, either directly in the training or send out a questionnaire or email with questions afterwards
- Plan for the whole evaluation phase a maximum of two weeks after training
- Keep feedback filed in your system for future trainings
- Constructive feedback only!
Extra tip:
- Write a press text on the training and ask people for quotes on what they have gained from the workshop!
Extra tip:
- Ask participants to inform you on further actions they plan as a result of the training.
What questions can I ask the participants in the feedback?
- What did you like about the training?
- What did you like about the part “XY”
- What did you learn?
- What did you learn in the study tour, from the presentations, from participants?
- What did you miss?
- What did you like about the networking rounds?
- Would you participate in further trainings?
- What questions do you still have?
- What elements/ideas will you take home with you?
- What will you tell your colleagues about this workshop?
- What would you change in your region/at your work/personally, now that you know more about CCI
- How far was the training useful for your job?
- ...
Tip:
- Ask open questions starting with “what” and “why”. Try to avoid yes/no questions in feedback. Ask about the general training as well as about specific training content/parts.
