Time
Organisation of a CCI competency training
How much time is needed for training? Since each training is individual and should be tailored to the regional circumstances and personal planning, we listed some quotes from our partners about the time of the training:
“We planned two days á five hours.”
Economic Development Corporation, City of Chemnitz, Germany
“We planned two days - a study visit in our FabLab with hands-on workshops and a theoretical presentation. The first day lasted ca. 6 hours including a lunch break. On the second day we went for a creative walk in the city which lasted about 3 hours.”
Regional Development Agency in Bielsko-Biala, Poland
“We had a half day seminar: all info could be shared and participants were able to keep focus.”
Business support centre L.t.d., Kranj, Slovenia

How many participants should take part?
- Invite as much participants as you need for your region and your goals
- Between 10 and 40 are imaginable, depending on the size of the location and if it’s analog or digital
Locations
- For a first meeting, it might be useful to meet in a familiar location like the town hall or other offices of the administration
- For most administrative staff, CCI is a topic that takes them out of their comfort zone
- To “pick them up” in a familiar place might be useful to build trust
Extra tip for the implementation phase: Encourage the participants to meet after the training to take ideas from the workshop and spin them further. Encourage them to cooperate.
